Premier Division Hutton Old Boys title defence got off to the worst possible start as White Notley raced into a three goal lead. The 2013/14 season will see the Greene King Essex Veterans League have one hundred and four teams competing in ten Divisions. This will include an Over 45 Division for the first time. We welcome new Clubs Bealonains, Forest Glade, Globe Rangers, Little Waltham, LOASS, Old Barkabbeyans, Spartan Athletic and Valley Green

Jun 15, 2013 20th Anniversary Dinner and Presentations

May 20, 2013 Wales Over 50’s v England Over 50’s at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
On 13th May 2013 England Over 50’s travelled to Cardiff to take on their Welsh counterparts. What made this fixture extra special was it was played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The England side had a strong representation from the Greene King Essex Veterans League with John Day, Paul Mitchell, John Cowan and Ian Greenwood from Old Parmiterians and Steve Edkins and Peter Coffill from Herongate Athletic taking part.

We are delighted to announce that the Greene King Essex Veterans League has become a Football Association National Referee Development Programme Partner League. We are one of only three Leagues in Essex to be awarded this recognition.

Division One With Manford Way’s game being called off due to Britannia being unable to field a side Chipping Ongar knew a win by nine clear goals over already relegated Herongate Athletic would give them the title. A mixture of determination and a small slice of luck Herongate Athletic held out for half an hour before Chipping Ongar took the lead through Tony Martin and then they added two more to go in 3-0 up at half time, which included one of David Gipps five of the afternoon. Premier Division Leli Bajada, Michael Black and Jason Brown scored the goals for Hutton Old Boys in their 3-1 win over Springfield which confirmed them as Premier Division Champions. Second place is also almost certain to go to Little Thurrock Dynamos as they beat Met Police Chigwell 6-2. Stuart Jones scored Met Police Chigwell’s goals. Picture is West Essex
