ARTIFICAL PITCHES

Following a number of enquiries we would like to clarify the position concerning the playing on League Competition matches on artificial surfaces.

Teams cannot refuse to play on artificial surfaces that appear on the FA 3G Football Turf Pitch Register as full size pitches within the boundaries of the League area. If they are full size pitches outside our boundaries both the agreement of the opponents and the League must be confirmed before the game is played.

If pitches show as medium sizes pitches on the pitch register then the League must agree the venue is suitable for League Competition games before matches are played.

We would confirm that the 3G Pitch at Shenfield School has been confirmed by the League as a suitable venue for Greene King Essex Veterans League games. This decision does not cover the Essex County FA Saturday Veterans Cup games. Teams wishing to use Shenfield School for these games must obtain permission from the Essex FA prior to the game.

Where permission from the League is required Clubs should contact the League Secretary for confirmation.
