Port of London Authority suffered their heaviest defeat since joining the League as they went down 7-2 to Little Thurrock Dynamos. A better day for Shenfield though won their first Premier Division game ever beating Springfield 4-3 to jump to seventh in the table.

Division Two East

Hawkwell Athletic took the lead against White Ensign but it appears the effects of last week’s extra time took it’s toll as their opponents scored sixed times in reply to inflict Hawkwell’s first defeat of the season. A second half strike from Ben Hogan was enough to give Dunmow Rhodes all three points at Pavilion United.

Division Two West

Two goals from Joe Feerick, one from the penalty spot and a goal by Stuart Crowhurst gave Bishops Stortford all three points against Little Thurrock Dynamos Reserves but they were made to sweat by two late goals from the hosts.

Paul Hayes with two, Danny Henwood, Daniel Imray, Paul Phipps and Trevor Riley were responsible for the Met Police Chigwell Reserves being hit for six by Heath Park. Met Police’s sole reply came from Stephen Acons. Writtle joined Heath Park in the semi final draw thanks to a 4-0 victory at Little Thurrock Dynamos A.

Division Three South

A real game of two halves at the Victory Sports ground as Leigh Town roared into a 5-1 half time lead against Hannakins Farm.  The visitors really got their act together in the second half and took a 6-5 lead. Hannakins Farm’s goals coming from a Stuart Roberts completed a hat trick, two from Scott Dempsie and one from Darrell Bailey. Leigh Town had the chance to take a point but missed a penalty in the last five minutes.

Division Three West

Debden Sports took time to take control of their visit to Hornminster despite taking a two nil half time lead. An early second half defensive mistake allowed Steven McBride to pull a goal back. Debden restored their two goal cushion before a fantastic piece of sportsmanship by their Assistant Referee who kept flagging to draw the Referee’s attention to a free kick just outside their own penalty area. Scott Enever took full advantage by crashing home the resultant kick. This was probably a major mistake as it kicked Debden into life and along with the introduction of Tony Maslin who scored a hat trick finished the game off. The other Debden Sports scorers were Steve Game 2, Adrian Frame and Barry Pope.

Division Four East

Rayleigh moved up to second in the table courtesy of a 3-2 win over White Notley Reserves. The visitors replies came from Philip Davis and Mark King.

Division Four West.

Hatfield Broad Oak wrapped up the points in the first half with two goals from Paul Whiteman and one from Nick Blackman-Hayward against Fulbrook Royals. Lowhall certainly made League leaders Doddinghurst Olympic work for the points. Steven Law scoring for the hosts but Paul Boor and Ian Marshall ensured Doddinghurst Olympic stayed top of the Division.

All other games in the League were postponed due to the weather.
