Essex Saturday Veterans Cup 3rd Round.

Last year’s Finalists meet at the third round stage and the game followed a similar pattern with Bowers & Pitsea (Vichouse) leading at half time, although this time by just one goal to nil. In the second half Little Thurrock Dynamos came back to win 2-1. Chipping Ongar also won a place in the Quarter Finals thanks to a 7-2 victory against Pavilion United.

Premier Division League Cup

Second half goals from Stuart Wilson for Met Police Chigwell and Lee Martin for White Notley meant extra time was required at Chigwell. The hosts finally progressing to the semi final 4-2 on penalties.

Premier Division

Port of London Authority rose to second place in the table thanks to a 3-1 victory over Frenford Senior

Division One League Cup

A Mark Kilbey hat trick and goals from Matthew Fletcher, Patrick Fairman and Mark Doyle earnt Old Chelmsfordians a place in the semi final draw at the expense of Newbury Park. Two of the visitors three replies came from Richard Burridge

Division Two West

Second half strikes from Stuart Gibson, Ian Harrison and Rob Clarke were enough to earn Little Thurrock Dynamos Reserves a 3-1 win at Ryan.

Division Three East

White Roding got their first away win of the season from  the trip to Peverel thanks to goals from Mark North and Lee Foster with the hosts managing one goal in reply.

Division Three South

Little Thurrock Dynamos A dropped their first points of the season as goals from Lee and Jason Barnby of Runwell Town meant the points were shared

Division Three West

A tight game involving Hornminster and William Fitt where two goals from Scot Enever enabled the hosts to fight back to claim a point. Spencer Joseph and Noel Vazquez scoring for the visitors

Division Four East

Horndon are enjoying their best season for a number of years. Goals from Vince Boswell 2, Mark Brett, Michael Westmore, Hamit Mehmet and Chris Coughlan hit Runwell Hospital for six on Saturday. Another Horndon player also scored by unfortunately for him it was an own goal.

Division Four West.

Hatfield Broad Oak missed the chance to extend their lead at the top as a 76th minute goal from David Ludlow was enough for West Essex Reserves to take the points. Xavier Young gave Old Parmiterians A the lead at half time against Hornchurch. The visitors equalised through sub Steve Ware at the start of the second half but they could not hold on for a point as Young completed his hat trick and an 84th minute strike from Kenny Ballard gave the hosts the spoils

All other games in the League were postponed due to the weather.
