LEAGUE FUNDS

At the recent meeting the League Management Committee are concerned about the high level of money the League currently have. We are looking to re-distribute some of this to Clubs.

One of the suggestions was concerning First Aid training. This has come following the BSC (Bishops Stortford) v Dunmow Rhodes game. During this game Chris Ball of Bishops Stortford suffered a heart attack. He is on his way to making a full recovery however this is only as a result of Chris Margaritis of BSC and Tony Brown of Dunmow Rhodes having the knowledge to immediately start CPR. Without the lifesaving actions of these two players it is very unlikely Chris would still be with us.

We would ask that you speak to your players and officials to see if anyone would like to attend a FA Emergency First Aid Training course. If there is anyone interested please kindly advise the League Secretary of their names and address by 10th February 2016. We can then speak to the County FA to arrange a course(s) or arrange to pay for people to attend one of the existing courses being run around the County.

If anyone has any other suggestions as how we can return money to Clubs please let the League Secretary know by 10th February 2016 so they can be discussed at the next Management Committee meeting.

We would also let Clubs know we have donated £350 to the Air Ambulance as a small thank you for their help with Chris.
