MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING UPDATES

All,

Please see below the update following this month’s League Management Committee Meeting

Fixtures

We have done really well to get this far before we have started losing fixtures to the weather. Steve Newlyn is doing his best to fit games in for teams but with the best will in the world he cannot look for every variation. If you spot a week when you could fit a game in and you want to play please call you potential opponents to check if they can play. If you both agree a date then please email both Steve Newlyn and Martin Berry providing details. Steve can then update the website and I can arrange a Referee. Please don’t leave this to the Friday night though and then expect a Referee to be available.

Registrations

A reminder that the final date for registering/transferring players is Saturday 10th March 2012. This means forms must be with Andy or Geoff by this date or the players must be signed on the day. Don’t run the risk of your game on 10th March being postponed and get your forms in early.

League Cup Semi Finals/Finals

A reminder that players MUST have played at least three Essex Veterans League and/or Cup games in order to be eligible to play in the League Cup Semi Finals or Finals. The County Cup rules are different. Andy and Geoff are more than happy to check players eligibility if you contact them.

Rule Changes

Please see proposed rule changes for next season. Generally speaking these are just to tidy up the rules following the move to Full Time or bring us into line with County rules. If you have any amendments or comments please contact me by 28th February 2012. These are then submitted to the County FA for checking. Any changes will then be voted for at the AGM with the changes applying for the 2012/13 season.
