Premier Division

League leaders Little Thurrock Dynamos lost their 100% record as they went down 3-1 to Met Police Chigwell whose goals came from Gabby Williams 2 and Stuart Jones. Springfield moved back up to second place after the completed the double over Hutton Old Boys thanks to first half goals by Neil Fergus, Gary Gosling and Rod McGurk. Manford Way scored two goals in each half to beat Shenfield. Manford Way’s scorers were Chris Anderson, Scott Lavin, Peter Sing and Che Stadhart. After their slow start to the season Port of London Authority are now up and running with their third consecutive win this time by six goals to two at Chipping Ongar.

Division One League Cup

Braces from Chris Bangura and Andrew Morgan ensured West Essex progressed at the expense of Hannakins Farm who made their opponents work for their victory with second half goals from Stuart Crowder, John Shippey and Ben Wakerly. Far more comfortable for Cricketers Horndon Saxons who beat White Ensign 5-0 through goals from Taner Erdal, Ronnie Heather, Richard Nicholls, Kellye Stephens and Colin Scott.

Division One

The Old Chelmsfordians v Newbury Park game was abandoned with four minutes remaining due to a serious injury to John Biggs the Newbury Park goal keeper. Before that Patrick Fairman had given Old Chelmsfordians the half time lead. Matthew Fletcher added a second but goals from Gary Fuller and Paul Mitchell had brought the score to two all. With wish John a speedy recovery. In the other game in the Division Sungate beat Beacon Hill Rovers 10-0.

Division Two East

Goals from Keith Pope 2, Neil Curtis, Ross Stevens and Russell White saw Sporting Club Woodham jump to the top of the table with a 5-3 win over Pavilion United. Tillingham Hotspur are up to second as Michael Hart scored the only goal of the game at Herongate Athletic. Far more goals at Writtle where the hosts scored eleven times against Hawkwell Athletic whose sole reply came from David Blyth.

Division Two West

First half goals from Daniel Brand and Neil Homes against Bishops Stortford preserved Heath Park’s 100% record. Little Thurrock Dynamos Reserves stayed behind Heath Park on goal difference as they won 3-1 at Britannia. Hale End Athletic won 6-0 at Old Parmiterians Reserves with goals from Michael Harris 2, Gary Kirby, Barry Smith and two from substitute Tayu Oyedeji. This will all be in vain though as Old Parmiterians Reserves have since withdrawn from the competition.

Division Three League Cup

Darren Ely and Mark Norris gave Silver End United the half time lead against Hatfield Broad Oak. Nick Blackham-Hayward pulled one back but Silver End United held on to progress to the next round. Also progressing are Hutton Old Boys Reserves who beat Hockley & Hawkwell 3-0 thanks to goals from Glenn Claisse, Danny Stanton and Tim Mills.

Division Three East

Lee Foster, Gary Halls and Douglas Rowe scored as White Roding won against FOBS. In the other game in the Division Great Baddow won 2-1 at Blackmore Royals.

Division Three South

Benfleet recorded their first win on the season beating Hannakins Farm Reserves 2-1 thanks to an own goal and a strike from Michael Kelly. Hornminster also recorded their first League win by beating Ludlows 5-1. Hornminster’s goals came from a Steve McBride hat trick and single strikes from Scott Enever and Tony Mason. Henderson Casuals beat Sporting Club Woodham by the odd goal in nine. Henderson Casuals scorers were Peter Chaney 2, Paul Hardee and Geoff Watts. Little Thurrock Dynamos A beat Rainham Working Mens Club 2-0.

Division Three West

A close game as you would expect with the top two meeting saw Met Police Chigwell Reserves and LOASS draw one all with LOASS’s goal coming from Junior Stewart. Paringdon are a point behind the top two as they maintained their 100% record with a 3-0 win over William Fitt. Globe Rangers are also on nine points after they beat Harold Wood Athletic Reserves 6-3. Harold Wood Athletic Reserves goals came from Tony Burke 2 and John Roman. Westhamians recorded their first win of the season by beating Ryan 4-0 thanks to a Danny Evans hat trick and a further goal from Patrick Kelly.

Division Four League Cup

Braces from Lee Wines and Darren Watkins as well as a goal from Andrew LeMarie saw Leigh Town safely through to the next round against Hornchurch. The host’s replies came from two goals from Antony Woods and one from Steve Ware.

Division Four East

Ford Basildon Reserves and Rayleigh maintained their unbeaten records as they drew one all. Runwell Hospital are also unbeaten in the League as they won 5-1 at Forest Glade. The hosts reply came from Paul Warren. Chelmer Reserves maintained they 100% record with goals from Mark Ashford and Ray Woods in their 2-1 win over Academy Soccer. Peverel extended their run of wins to three games with goals from Robert Williams 2, Paul Burdett 2 and Jonathon Kohn as they beat Valley Green 5-1.

Division Four West

Ricky Riches five goals including one from the penalty spot for Old Barkabbeyans against Hatfield Broad Oak Reserves took him to twelve for the season. Kevin Williams and Michael Newson to bring the final score to 7-2. Fulbrook Royals made the most of their substitutes against White Roding Reserves who had the bare eleven players. Substitutes Martin Newman with a hat trick and Ian Aldridge doing the main damage with Kevin Hunt who started scoring twice in the 6-1 win. A Tom Chawner penalty and a goal from Sven Deutscher gave Sanders a 2-1 win over Old Parmiterians A. Spartan Athletic recorded their biggest win since joining the League as they beat West Essex A 6-1 with a Peter Shearing hat trick, two from Mark Shade and one from Cliff Bilby doing the damage. West Essex A’s reply came from Kevin Lavin. All the goals came in the first half as Newport drew two each with North Weald. Andrew Doble scored both of Newport’s goals.

Over 45 League Cup

Wayne Hunt, Lee Parnell, Michael Reilly and Robert Sharpe scored for Frenford Senior as they beat Doddinghurst Olympic. It was much closer between Peverel and Old Parmiterians as it took penalties for Peverel to progress after a four all draw. Peverel’s goal scorers were Roy Bond, Bryan Lee, Stephen Lee and Trevor Lenoir with Old Parmiterians replies coming from Arnold Howell 2, Gary Luck and Paul Mitchell.

Over 45 Division

Two second half goals from Lee Savage goals for Pavilion United at Herongate Athletic put the visitor’s three points clear at the top of the table. John McSweeney’s second half goal was enough for Bealonians to take all the points from their trip to Newport.
