On the best Saturday for months the Division One final was bright but lacked hotshots in the box. Both teams gave everything but defences tended to be on top and the first half ended goalless. The second half started in much the same manner with chances few and far between.

Premier Division A mixed week for Met Police Chigwell this week. They finished the week top of the table after Little Thurrock Dynamos were deducted twelve points for an administrative error, however after losing the League Cup Final on Wednesday they lost 7-4 at home to Port of London Authority on Saturday. Met Police scorers were Stuart Jones, Darren Oliver, Dave Stittle and Gabby Williams. Hutton Old Boys in second place are now the title favourites following goals from Jason Brown, Lee Cobden and Norman McPhee after them three points against Bowers & Pitsea (Vichouse). On a very cold night at Billericay Town FC it was Little Thurrock Dynamos who got into their stride fastest immediately putting Met Police Chigwell on the back foot and on twelve minutes Terry Hornsby was surprised to find himself with time and room in the Met Police box to turn and put his side one up. After this Met Police perked up and pressed without making inroads into the opposition box, this was the pattern of play with few clearcut chances being made in a hard fought encounter. Premier Division League Cup Final Preview Little Thurrock Dynamos v Met Police Chigwell NE Wednesday 3RD April 2013 at Billericay Town FC Kick Off 7.30pm Fingers crossed the improvement in the weather will allow our first League Cup Final of the season to take place on Wednesday when Little Thurrock Dynamos meet Met Police Chigwell NE in a repeat of last season’s Premier Division Final. The only slight change is Little Thurrock Dynamos played under the name of Ockendon last season.

Premier Division Having won the County Cup on Wednesday, Little Thurrock Dynamos celebrated by beating Frenford Senior 4-0. Met Police Chigwell who they meet in the League Cup Final prepared well by beating Springfield 4-1. A brace of penalties by Edward Nwachukwu along with a goal each from John Taylor and Glen Leach gave them the points. Hutton Old Boys moved up to third by hitting White Notley for six without reply.
