Division One Awful news from the Britannia v Chipping Ongar game which was abandoned with fifteen minutes to go after Matt Marvel of Chipping Ongar suffered a badly broken leg which required the Air Ambulance and over an hour’s treatment on the pitch before he could be moved. Fully credit to Kes Outhwaite of Britannia who stayed with Matt through his treatment to try to assist. It showed the true spirit of the League. We wish Matt well for his operation and a speedy recovery. Picture is Hawkwell Athletic

On a very cold night at Billericay Town FC it was Little Thurrock Dynamos who got into their stride fastest immediately putting Met Police Chigwell on the back foot and on twelve minutes Terry Hornsby was surprised to find himself with time and room in the Met Police box to turn and put his side one up. After this Met Police perked up and pressed without making inroads into the opposition box, this was the pattern of play with few clearcut chances being made in a hard fought encounter.
