To try to strike a balance between getting fixtures played but to attempt to stop teams manipulating fixtures to their advantage the League Management Committee have agreed the following policy will apply for matches scheduled to be played from 26th September 2019.

We have to advise of two changes to the Constitution. Hannakins Farm Over 35’s have moved as a team to Ramsden Scotia. This is effectively a name change so the team will remain in Division One East.

Jul 27, 2019 Assistant Referee Secretary Update
The League had advertised for a volunteer to come forward to act in the role as Assistant Referee Appointment Secretary with a view to taking over as Referee Appointment Secretary from Season 2020/21. We are delighted to announce that Ryan Anderson, Chris Crawford and Kieran Gayler will all be supporting the Referee Appointment Secretary during the coming season to learn the role.

We are pleased to announce that the League App has now been upgraded. This will mean existing users will need to download a new App called “Robin Road”.
Jun 5, 2019 Assistant Referee Secretary
Martin Berry will be stepping down as Referee Appointment Secretary at the end of the 2019/20 season. With this in mind the League are looking for an Assistant Referee Appointment Secretary to work alongside Martin during the coming season with a view to taking over the Referee Appointment Secretary role in the 2020/21 season.

Jun 2, 2019 Secretary Annual Report 2019
Once again the League continues to grow, which in my opinion is only because the League tries to offer what the players want. Interestingly now 45% of the players in the League are over forty-five years old. This had me thinking about are we starting to see the impact of the decline in 11v11 football hitting the League. Looking back though we had nine divisions of over thirty-five football when the over forty-five division first started, so currently there doesn’t appear to be a decline in the younger divisions

For existing sides if you are looking at running a different number of teams next season, or teams in different age groups please can you let the League Secretary know by 24th April please?
Mar 22, 2019 Sin Bin Training
Sin Bin’s have been made mandatory by the FA for season 2019/20. The Essex FA have arranged training sessions across the County over the coming months. All Referees have to attend one of these sessions so they know how to operate the system. All teams are also encouraged to send representatives so they are aware how the Sin Bin’s work.
